Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out what most boat owners use for anchors within the The Bays and Channels around the ULM ? Do you recommend any certain type ? If so, what are the advantages ? My boat did not come with an anchor and don't want to spend a C-note on a fancy anchor, if I can just use a Mushroom type and be fine.

Thanks in advance.

8' Power Pole. Virtually no damage to grass/bottom.

In my boat, I've gone to a size larger than the chart recommends. Sometimes the wind and current will overwhelm a small anchor. Power poles are nice, but come at a hefty price.
