| A massive tornado outbreak with hundreds of reports has hit the deep south area and all the way up to New York. I have family in Knoxville and the sirens have basically been on all day. Down town Tuscaloosa as well as Birmingham have been brutally hit by storm after storm. I have been a weather freak ever since we got hit by an ef-3 tornado in Clarksville TN, so you can immagine my interest, as well as pain I feel for them. I think that the least we can all do, is to send a couple of prayers to the hundreds of people some way affected by these storms. The weather channel says 45 people are dead, just from today. |

I live in a zone where tornadoes come through just miles (very few) away all the time, right up I 30. We were missed just to the west a few day ago and that one tore a path 1/2 mile wide for about 45 minutes after it crossed the Arkansas river.
Believe me, I HAVE been praying for all of the souls lost and their families left to pick up the pieces!
My wife and I have spent plenty of time hunkered under the back porch over the years, in the driving rain and lightning!!! _________________ Dave

Its been hard for me. I grew up on 13th street in Tuscaloosa. I have been down that stretch of road that was hit hundreds of times and know many folks there still. I don't have any family left there, they have all passed or moved on. My son graduated Bama last year and is back in Texas now. My sisters son went to help yesterday and found a body while helping to remove debris. It hit him pretty hard. There are still many missing and still areas that have not been searched well yet because of the debris.
These folks can use your prayers. I really appreciate this post. Thank you. |
