Temporary spending bill expected to pass the senate after passing the house this afternoon which will stave off any government shutdown until April 8th so the national parks including Padre Island National Seashore and other government entities will be open as usual. Very Happy

If the goverrnment shuts down...do they lock up the park, or is it just left unattended?

They close it to the general public (beaches included) and only have essential personnel such as law enforcement and the turtle folks down there.
