Good friend Colin is down at the 50 and has cell reception.
Texted this report...
"From the blacktop to the turtle shack the weed is washboard on the beach and in mats in the surf. Water however is gin clear. Birds working the 5 to 19. Mats of weed coming in from the blacktop to the turtle shack. After the 40 weed lessens. More report tomorrow got baits out now need to check."

Saw him in the 40s when I was coming off. Driving sucks (bumpy), weed sucks, water is nice. It was fishable down south, as in the late 40s, but it damn sure took a while to get there and took a longer while to get back. First half of the beach is owned by weed. But, who knows what tomorrow has in store.

He has AT&T. He has the iPhone 3G. Last year during Sharkathon we had service at the 19mm.
He called me, then texted me the report so I could just cut and past.

Woke up to super low water and no current. Weed minimal. Water still super clear. Baits of bluefish and Jack untouched all night. No pomps only catfish last night and today. No reds. Zero bait. Water 61. Cold-ish. Shark baits untouched all day. Weed has shown up with an increasing ne wind and is now a problem.

Sucks that the beach is weeded out in winter, but still looks like its pretty nice out there!

How do you like the 4 door wrangler?

Thinking about finally replacing the durango with one when they put the pentastar V-6 in them.
