I am actually surprised to see this thread on Corpusfishing, but since I am being bombarded with Blake "The Fake" Farenthold ads in the header of the forum it is fair game to post.
So how many of you are going to go into the voting booth and vote "straight ticket" just because you are a so called Republican? The same goes for political persuasion that shall not be mentioned and Independents. Will you vote for someone just because they are in your party?
I seriously believe in "Diversification". There is no one group of people that are right, especially when it comes to politicians. 99.9% of all politicians are crooks and liars in my opinion, and 99.999% are in it for themselves.
The 00.0001% that are in it to help out us, the common folk, never get elected because they can not afford the advertising expense of the "Political Party Retards". The people that really care about us do not get the "News Coverage" of the other candidates because they are BROKE just like us.
If Blake Farenthold really gives 2 dips in a bucket about us I challenge him to post to this thread and engage us in a debate about what really matters to the common working man. In fact, I challenge all candidates to post up and tell us why we should vote for them instead of writing in Mickey Mouse, Pluto or my all time favorite DUMBO. It seems like who I vote for wins every election, since we always seem to end up with DUMBOS in office.
Sorry Tyler, but if you are going to open this door expect someone to step through it. _________________ Proud Founding Member of the Port A Holes |

| I think they should do away with the straight ticket button. A voter should have to look at the race and if he is not familiar then vote for the name you like,. or don't vote on that race. |

| I needed to move this after a simple get out and vote post became a bit more partisan than I wanted. |

I also wondered why there were political campaign adds on the front page when the forum policy is "no republican/political persuasion that shall not be mentioned" stuff?
Doesn't bother me one way or the other, just seems a bit diametrical. I realize that the forum is sponsored by those who pay for add space, but........................ _________________ Dave

No shock to me that it happened, but hopefully it got some people to just go and vote. Thanks for keeping it in the busy area as long as you did!! _________________

| I'm amazed that in this era of the worst political polarization in modern times, that anyone has a beef with straight ticket voting. The difference has never been more clear. Do you think that an increasing governmental role is better for this country or do you favor the private sector? How does anyone that supports a growing, fiscally irresponsible government better represent me if my philosophical commitment is to capitalism? A very sophomoric position. |
