T Roberts on corona will tell you to send them to costa.. as would any dealer including Roy's. Unless they are prescription costa's then they have to be handled by the dealer.. but for regular costa's you cant beat 12 dollars . If they cant fix them they will send you a new pair.
How do I REPAIR my Prescription Costa Del Mar Sunglasses?
Your prescription Costa Del Mar sunglasses carry a 1- year limited warranty with proof of purchase. Simply return your prescription Costa Del Mar sunglasses with proof of purchase to your dispensing eye care professional for repair. Unfortunately, Florida State Law prohibits prescription repairs to be performed by Costa Del Mar directly. Upon receipt of any eyewear containing prescription lenses, the glasses will be returned as is to the customer. Costa Del Mar is not responsible for the safe return of any prescription lenses.
How do I replace my Costa C or other small repairs?
If you need, co-injected temples, logos, temple tips, side shields or detachable nose pads, please e-mail us at (info@costadelmar.com) or call us and we may be able to send them to. 800-447-3700 ext 291 M-F 8am-5pm EST and during the summer M-TH 7:30am-5:30pm EST, F 8am-12pm EST. Closed weekends and holidays. Except for logos, item and shipping costs do apply to all phone orders.
If it is determined your repair needs require the skills of our repair professionals, please complete the on-line Repair Request and be sure to include your name, complete shipping address, daytime phone number, and credit card number for repairs not covered under warranty. Please include your e-mail address to receive our automated e-mail response service!
The web site will issue you an RI (Repair Internet) number for each pair, which can be used for inquiring about the status of your repair.
We recommend insuring your package against loss by the carrier and using a carrier that provides trace-ability. In general, please allow 3 weeks or 15 working days once we have received your shipment for the return of your repaired Costa Del Mar sunglasses. |

Longest off topic respone...ever.
I know Costas are the Cadillac of the fishing lenses as far as looking down into water, what makes them superior to other less expensive polarized sunglasses like Berkley....just asking. _________________

lol. copy and paste.
Now.. I dont claim to be an expert on polarization but I have owned a bunch of pair of costas.. And I have another pair coming tomorrow.. Im excited about it.. Im getting the new 580p costas they are polycarbonate but have the 580 technology with amber base with green mirror..
But I believe what is the difference is the polarization technology. from what I have read costa is one of the best.. You really just have to put a pair on to respect them. when you go from seeing a big flat of water to seeing every single grass line , transition, channel, oyster reef and redfish from a good distance. You will be sold. |

Great explanation. I have never had it stated that way. If you have any throw downs, I may be willing to barter. Or whatever. _________________

The difference is the width of the polarization in the lenses. The lenses are made up of parrallel lines of polarization and the cheaper lenses have fewer and thinner lines. The more expensive glasses (Costa's) have more and thicker lines which make the polarization work better. I learned this in a class I had to take for work one time on safety glasses. Hope this makes sense and helps.

usually about 7-10 days longest delay is the shipping there and back. I keep an extra pair on hand for these reasons exactly. |

Got my 580's in the mail yesterday. My analogy....bare eyeballs - analogue TV. 580's - HDTV.
Who is the best person in town to adjust the plastic frames for tightness? _________________
