Im considering going out and fishing the laguna, but im not sure if i should change my tactics due to the freshwater. I was probably gonna fish somewhere in nighthawk but is that to shallow this soon after a storm?

sorry this is a little late but heres the report. woke up at six, way to windy so i slept in till seven, when it was suprisingly calm. decided it was to late to ready the boat but ive been itching to try my new 4x4 1999 tahoe, so i headed to pins. fished random points till about the 19th i found some action. i landed a 19 then 2 mminutes later my dad snagged a clean 15. at that point we decided to call it a day and grilled um up for lunch. oh and we were using purple sand eel juniors. i didnt have much faith in the color but if it works it works. super clear watter.

Actually, the water level is down a bit from what it was Saturday at the Bird Is. sensor.

Check this link

I'm having fairly good luck where the water is clear, there is grass, and the depth is about 3' to 4' deep. New Penny Gulps worked for me. I'm getting Reds, Trout, and Flounder.

has anybody been in the north end of nighthawk, just south of the white cap canals? Last time I was there was a few weeks ago and it was practically unfishable with tons of floating weed. Coming back into town tonight, and thinking about wetting a line there tomorrow morning.
