I always see on here people talking about being on PINs at the 18mm, or where ever they are. I never really fish in the surf but Im thinking about starting and I was just wondering how you know where you are? Thanks for your help.

PINS= Padre Island National Seashore
18mm= 18 miles from the end of the pavement along the beach.

This is a common question that comes up about once or twice a year.

The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Go down on PINS and enjoy. You do need to take the complete fanily if possible.

Every 5 miles once you are on the beach is a pole next to the dunes with a blue mile marker on it, 5, 10, 15 and so on.

It also helps to reset your trip meter mileage when you hit the end of the pavement.

No kidding there. Have been married to Tiffany for 9 1/2 years, and we just had our first child 15 months ago.

I was 22, and she was 19.

Now at 32, I wish I had the energy I did when I was 23, 25, or 29 even. Fidn a nice girl and have kids while you still have lots of energy, because they demand it.

Oh to be young again. Na wouldn't want to go through all that again. Just getting to the point where the wife and I can go and come as we please and not worry about who is at the house. Wait until there teen years. Then the fun really starts. Here is a bit of advice for you fathers with daughters. When a young man comes a courten be cleaning your gun. Have one on the table not appart for effect. You can also go out and jot down there licence number and make of car. Works every time. You would be shocked at the reaction you will get.

I already have a plan stolen from Bill Engenthal.

When the guy comes to the door, you pull him aside and tell him:

"If you get any ideas about hugging, or kissing, just remember... I'm not afraid to go back to prison."

That works until your daughter says "Dad, You have to be nice". I can not describe the feeling then. I have gone through it THREE times.

Have fun and enjoy them kids. They will be grown tomorrow.

As a father figure be nice to your daughters boyfriend, invite him over for BBQ some Saturday. Young guy gets all relaxed and thinks "this is great her Dad thinks I'm cool". Invite him outside to help you chop wood on a tree stump for the fireplace this winter and continue the easy conversation with the lad while the BBQ cooks. After the young guy has gotten almost all the wood chopped decide to help him out and tell him it is your turn to chop wood. Grab the ax then look the young guy in the eyes with a seriuos look...now stare at his crotch...get a PO'd look on your face and then bury the ax in the tree stump you were chopping the wood on. While your swinging the ax to bury it in the tree stump scream "Don't you ever mess around with my daughter!".

Morale of the story your daughter is safe because the young guy is scared speechless and you have firewood for the winter
