Anybody know of a good place to stay around or on the water that I can bring the wife and little one to? I usually come down for about 3-4 days and stay on the beach but that is by myself. Son is 7 months and that might be a challenge. Any of yall got any properties that you know of that might be let out for a day or two next week?

Fortuna Bay Bed and Breakfast - on the Padre Isles canals and across the island from the beach.

i can tell you where not to stay lol. we stayed may 1st at the best western on north padre island and that was the worse place we have ever stayed at. will never go there again. the beds were as hard as a concrete block. my son stayed that weekend also but he stayed at the hawthorn inn on the island. he and his wife enjoyed there stay and will go back there. they had a small kitchenette and they got it for the same price that i paid at best western.

I have friends that come every July 4 and they reserved the Gulfstream Condominiums for 4-5 days. Nice pool for the fresh water folks.

When are you planning to come? My roomates aunt owns one of the gulfstream condos. Thats where we would go before we moved down here.
