Where's the closes kayak launch to Pita Island? I've never fished this area and would like to check it out. Anyone know?

Best place would likely be the marina at the end of Yorktown

x2 for Bluff's Landing. I've launched and kayaked around Pita(last year). Did real well on Reds with Gulp Shrimp.

$5 gets you probably the nicest launch site in the area, where you can park your truck and not have to worry about some punks breaking into it while your out, then when you get back in if you want they got a shower head out there to wash off if you so choose...

They used to let you launch for free if you bought goodies inside.. Now they charge you regardles so I pick up my goodies elsewhere.. Including my ice and bait.. The owner could increase retail sales if they brought that back..

Some people just don't get it! Rolling Eyes

It's no different than raising taxes on businesses and individuals in every way shape and form, especially in a recession, and wondering why revenues are falling.

Lowering taxes makes businesses able to hire more folks AND sell more of their product(s) for a more competitive price. More money is coming in and more PEOPLE are paying taxes BECAUSE THEY HAVE A JOB, so tax revenues go up, NOT down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Real hard to understand, ain't it? Embarassed Rolling Eyes

Up until recently they also used to let Tropic Isles property owners launch for free.

Not anymore.

Which reminds me, is the Wiggler's boat ramp halfway decent? I think they're charging $2.00 to lauch there.
