We fished baffin, the upper laguna and yarborough on Saturday with very little to show for it. Brown tide owns the Laguna from at least the power plant to the land cut. It was almost dead calm when we were at Yarborough and the water looked like tea...you could only see the grass in about 18" or less. My friend caught one good trout in Baffin in an isolated pocket of "decent" water and we caught a couple of keepers up north in the Laguna but it was very tough. I haven't heard many people talking about the brown tide in the Upper Laguna but I promise its there in full force. Hope it doesn't stay too long this time but I guess we will have to wait and see. Thought some of yall might appreciate an honest water report.

Thought I might add to Shalor news....Brown Tide is from about the middle of the Kennedy Shoreline south of Baffin all the way through the Landcut. I also understand it is also in Mansfield.

To much cold weather this winter.

Yes the brown tide is from Port Mansfield to the Upper Laguna. Water in the Meadows is beautiful. About the only decent water we saw all day Friday. We did manage to catch our 2 limit of reds (pigs)/drum and some good trout on Friday. What a day for me and buddy of mine that we had been working for about 5wks straight. We were just glad to be out there on the water once again. It pays to have fishing logs and more less have some kind of game plan. Thanks to Sharon at Clems getting us some good hopper shrimp. Anyone needing live bait Clems usually has good healthy bait.

By the way guys a little advise. If you run in Brown Tide be sure and flush your motors real good and check you thermostats from time to time by taking them off. Brown tide is a little animal that will die in you water ports of you motor and restrict the water flow. Can cause overheat and destroy a powerhead. Just saying.

Brown tide is all around the Pita area as well. Found some decent water in the boat hole area. Fishing is tough. This has been one trying year. Red tide, brown tide, drought, storms, extreme high tides and extreme low tides. Let's get El Nino out of here.

Hate to tell you ratred55, but brown tide had taken the meadows on Saturday because we gave it a try, I hope Mike is right about the spring tide helping the upper laguna, that brown stuff is not alot of fun.
