No birds in the backyard thanks to the 70mph winds on Thursday.

Went yesterday to Mason. Doves everywhere. Had my limit in an hour and shot the rest of 2 friends limits in about 45 minutes.
About 5:!5 I saw a sight I have never seen before. Doves coming in from everywhere and all circling a big tank. Looked like a flight of starlings. There were at least 500 to 1000 doves all in one cloud circling the tank. The cloud of doves was probably 100 yards wide by 50 to 75 yards high. Never seen anything like it in my 60 years!
We are going back Wednesday afternoon and taking a video camera with us. |

They're scattered around here or the neighbors are sky blasting them to the point the doves are wearing oxygen masks _________________ What's good for me ain't necessarily good for the weak minded.... |

| Rodandroll, I believe if you check with your friendly game warden, it is illegal to shoot someone else's limit. Just a word of caution. |

Pretty slow, but I got a nice Pintail, Gadwall, and Widgeon this morning. First time hunting here.
ok, I might have missed a few.
Saw thousands of Redheads from a distance.

The boys and I hunted with Capt. Black and Capt. Sally Moffitt. Lots of birds.

Then we went to the ranch and got 20 quail on Weds.
