I've had good luck with the Shimano Sedona 50-80 bucks depending on size. Siennas won't break the bank either.

Nice fish! I really need to start keeping the bigger whiting for the freezer lol. I always throw them back thinking, "meh I'm not going to clean one fish" and then I end up catching more and ...

True about never knowing what they'll want but to be honest I've never caught anything on Fishbites alone.

I've been looking for some little floats to put on my pomp rigs but I can't find any. Did you make the pomp rig yourself or store bought? Any idea on where to get small yellow floats?

I was lazy ...

Started fishing PINS at about 3 PM this afternoon. Finger mullet were plentiful so I tried whole, live and cut-up to no avail. Decided to change gears and target pomps with the cheap little pre-made p ...

This dude is after my own heart. I tried sea robin, gafftop, and sting ray last year. I've always been fascinated with fish that were supposedly "trash fish." My advice... just eat the game ...

95% chance it's blues. When that happens to me I pretty much know what it is, but will hook live baits in the opposite end from what I had been, or in the middle top/bottom, hoping to get a hookup, ...

I only went 5 miles down and started fishing at 3 PM. Water was nice and green, albeit a bit rough. Managed a couple of smaller pomps, and a few big whiting on orange shrimp fishbites. Plastics lande ...

Shoot I remember when I used to read reports from the TeamOSO boards, Breakaway boards, and here. I think SFCCI had a board too. I think Facebook ate away at a lot of the reports that people used to p ...

Awesome report Zia. I kept a smack a few weeks ago and covered the fillets in Panko bread crumbs and baked it, which came out pretty good. I think they're some of the coolest looking fish. I'm super j ...

Drove out and started fishing just shy of the 4x4 sign at about 5:45PM. Driving was easy. Water is green and clear, but not too clear. Birds were working the second gut for most of the first five mile ...

I'm a stickler for any paddle tail in new penny/root beer/pumpkin with a chartreuse tail, but tonight I tried a pink Tidal Surge "the thing" at PINS a couple of miles off the blacktop and ca ...
