Both Nick and I told them due to their stance on closing beaches to vehicular access we could no longer contribute any reports in that regard. Why help the Caller Times if they are against the surf fishermen?
David Sikes understands and respects our postion on that so that is why you don't see them in the Sunday paper any longer.

| Tyler, I thought that the CT was blocking the info from the surf to take it out of the public reading. You know if you don't stay in the public eye they will loose site of you. I believe it would help the cause to keep the reports going. As there are a lot of folks who don't live here that read the paper online and keep the surfishing out in the public. just a thought. |

Tyler,
I have to disagree with your stance on the surf report issue. The fishing report is for fishermen, so you are actually going to alienate the ones you want to help the most, the fishermen. I understand that you don't want to help the Caller-Times, but do it for the people who also have the same views as yourself and want to keep our beaches open.
Besides, it will just be a matter of time until someone else is writing the reports for the paper and I doubt they will be as knowlegable as you and Nick. I don't want to have to read inferior reports! |

David Sikes still gets the surf reports from us however it is the Guidelines on Sunday which we don't do. You still get the reports just not the "where to fish" I have told David that since they get those on Thursday they are not really very effective since the conditions change too much by Sunday. I suggested that they run them on Friday since that is when people plan the weekend. By Sunday you have already decided where and when you will be fishing. But of course Sunday Outdoors is the biggest advertising time for the paper so there you have it.
Thanks!
