My buddy Luke Bingham and I found some great fish during prefishing and thought we had a good chance at placing good going into day 1. With NE wind blowing Friday at a solid 15, we figured if the weather stayed that way we could pull off a good placing.
Saturday started with dense fog and the entire field held back from launching by orders of Capt. Ron Benke, which was a wise decision given the number of boats fishing this weekend. I think everybody took it well considering we were all anxiously awaiting those sows tugging on the end of our lines. Flights began around 10:20 am or so and we were off. By the time we made it to our hole the sun had come out and a slight south breeze blew (this was not what we wanted). After a couple hours of cathing many fish but nothing to weigh and trying to decide which direction the wind was going to blow (it made a few 360's), the week front moved in with 30mph winds for a brief time and we started catching some decent fish. Finished day one at 17lbs 7oz and was at the weigh in 1.5 hours early because we were having trouble keeping those alive.
Day two started great with perfect conditions and a solid chop on the water. Again we caught many fish and ended up beating our day one weight with 18.1lbs. All fish both days made it in alive.
Ended up overall placing 10th with a total of 35lbs 8oz. It was a great tourney and the people that run it and put it together really do a good job in showing the anglers a good time during the event. Hats off to TPW in taking care of the trout. I was an intern at the hatchery in FB last year for a few months and was able to keep an eye on the 05' bash fish, they are taken care of well.
thats my story

Good job! How did the water clarity look where you fished? _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!
