Go with the E-tech. I hear from some of the pro's that they are the way to go. Less moving parts = less breakdowns, better mileage, 3 yrs with no maintence, more low end torque, etc. _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Brandon
My Uncle just sold his 2002 Yamaha 225 and went with the Evinrude 250 E-tech for his 25 ft Gulf Coast. The e-tech is quieter, has more power out of the hole, better reverse, and gets about 1.5 miles more per gallon.
When I had my boat, I had an Evinrude 150 ficht and it was an efficient motor. I talked to a dealer once that sold both Evinrude and Yamaha and in his opinion the Evinrude e-tech was a better motor. |
