To keep the water cool for my live bait until I reach where I am going to fish I use those freezer packs that you freeze to place in little ice chests or lunch boxes. Freeze it, place it in your ice chest until you either catch or buy your live bait then place it in whatever you use to keep your bait alive until you reach where you are fishing. When your done, wash it and re-freeze it for the next day. This will keep the water temp cool enough for your bait and you can place the size you think you need depending on what you keep your bait in. _________________ Hardheads should be the state fish of Texas |

I always use frozen 20 oz and one quart plastic bottles instead of ice in my drink cooler. They work nicely when droped in a live well. In a pinch, have used cold cans of soda or beer. Just drop them in the live well.

yep, frozen 20 or 32oz soda bottles with the caps on so as the ice melts it wont delute your bait water works real good. bait stays real lively if you can keep the water cooler! _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!
