I'm heading down to PINS tomorrow morning for a few days from College Station. Its my first time to PINS so ot will definately be a learning experience.

1) are crabs good for reds that far south?

Crabs are always good for Reds and Big Black Drum. Very Happy

However, I haven't heard many say they caught any this past weekend. I got skunked this weekend, save for two small whiting. Sad

Most people I know buy dead crab, and break pieces of it up to cast out. I am not sure which stands have them right now, live or dead, but someone else on this board might know.

Does the Crab man in the bluff have them, I heard that sometimes he keeps crabs for bait there, or even the Bait Bucket might have some stray crabs, they always have a good selection of various baits.

I bought some at clems last week. They were alive and caught some oversized drum in the ditch.
