Headed to Rockport this past weekend with the wife for a fishing trip Thursday - Sunday. Launched at Conn Brown and headed anyway we could for some protection from the wind. Got the bite if you call it that on live shrimp but threw all my soft plastics with not one taker. Wind, Wind, Wind and Rain is what we mostly caught. 2 rat reds and a crab that latched on to a shrimp bite and wouldn't let go. Surprised We were after trout but couldn't coax any into biting but we have lots to learn...I was more proud of my wife for being such a trooper and sticking it out with me for 5 hours on Friday. We made the best of it and are both looking forward to our next trip down. Smile Have a good one!
