I am one lucky guy!!!!!!!!!!

I have some of the most unbelieveable friends!!! My buddy Rob (uses the same name here on the board) was scheduled to go to Baja for a 10-day camping/fishing trip on the Sea of Cortez (Bahia De Los Angeles, 400 miles south of the border). Our other friend, Tyler & his wife Kelle (yes Tyler here on this board) went last year and are going again this year. Anyway, Rob can't make the trip now because of work and he offered me his spot and his plane ticket. Knowing I am between jobs, both Rob and Tyler offered to pay my way completely which I am not taking. They also knew I couldn't refuse because the cost was minimal and I got some free time.

And then there is my lovely wife, Melanie. Not only is she gorgeous, caring, and loving, she is a real trooper. Her response to all of this... "Joe why wouldn't you go???? I can manage with out you for a few days." And this gives her some alone time with her son.

So I am headed to Punta De Gringa near Bahia De Los Angeles where the desert greets the Sea of Cortez. We will have 2 14' aluminum v-bottom boats and 2 kayaks. Camping and kayak fishing for 10 days in Baja!!!! I will be out of pocket from June18-30. Then I leave again on July5th to head to Sarasota to fish the EEF with Team Wildy on July9. This will be my first time ever to fish in Florida!!!!! Two trips of a lifetime in less than a week of each other.

Damn, I am LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!

And Thanks soooo very much, Rob and Tyler!!!!!!! Yall are great!!!

Sorry Rob can't go but glad you get to. I knowww how much you would have loved to have gone on the last trip after seeing the pics.

Beware of the Humboldt Squid too! Ted and Tom, two of the guys who will also be there dispatched this sea monster with a three iron.

You Baja guys are going to be jealous around day 4 when you think about all the modern beach conveniences I enjoy here on SPI. It's not very private, can be a little sandy, but I like it and it's always surprisingly clean.
