|
|
With an ever increasing popularity on recreational water activities like fishing, boating, kayaking, kite sailing, etc. as "summer" is here, let all the fine people who use this FANTASTIC web site be LEADERS to keep our fishing holes clean so that we can chase those tagged RedFish! With Packery Channel nearly ready for opening by end of the summer, there'll be great numbers of people who'll congregate to our fine Corpus Christi.
Will each and every one of you make a commitment in helping to keep our waters clean (land for that matter) by tagging a reply to this email and replying with a "Yes", "Yea", "Count Me In", etc. When we see others pollute, let's just let them know politely, excuse me... I care about catching nice fish... please don't do that, pick it up and put in a trash can." Or, something to that effect. If they won't pick it up, then let's show courage and do it ourselves. That takes guts and it will make us proud that we did something.
I want to see how many more people can commit to such a pledge. I also want to see how many hits for reading this post. Let's leave individual legacies! I'm committed to making sure that our water and land gets cleaner. How about you?
Thanks.

| Count me in. You know how we support the Big Shell Cleanup. It still amazes me that in this day and age people still litter. |

Yep. I agree with TT. It is insane that people still litter. Always take out more than you bring is my motto. _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

| I am in! I just moved here from North Carolina and went down to the beach for the first time Monday and the wife and I were amazed at how dirty it was. My boys also wanted to stop and pick up trash. We are planning on going down there one day next week just for that. |

It would be hard to convince ignorant trash distributing people to pick it up. They probably do not have a computer and can't even get on line. If they could I think I would advise them to check out this fine web site and perhaps some of the good here would rub off. This is in reference to quote "let's just let them know politely, excuse me... I care about catching nice fish... please don't do that and pick it up and put in a trash can." Or, something of that effect. If they won't pick it up, then let's show courage and do it ourselves. That takes guts and will make us proud that we did something. " . Courage would be to put all there trash in the back of ther pick up truck or their bed would be even better.

For the caring replies, we're going to randomly draw some user names and give out some shirts (polo style or T's). I'll try to do this before end of this month.
Thanks Tyler for this great site, and to all the great anglers. Man, I wish I had a keg to share with all of you. (Of course, NO Drinking And Driving. We would have to camp out on PINS. _________________ Live To Fish Tomorrow... Fish To Live Today

If everyone cleaned a 50 foot radius of their camp..... PINS would be clean all the time....lets all pitch in.

that is a freaking good idea. I will start doing that even when I am just hunting the beach looking for fish. Do you know how many times I have sat there for 15 minutes waiting for a rod to get bit just watching it. Might as well pick up trash and a 50 foot radius would not be that hard to do. |
