We went to the 25. We did not expect very much except weed. The driving was rough and we did not have much time. The wind was howling from the north, it was cold, and the curent was ripping south. I could not get my long rod to anchor good until it was past me. We managed a couple of whiting before deciding to head back in. There was weed moving in big time as well. Stopped about the 15 at a pinch to see what was happening. We managed 6 nice size whiting in about 2 hours. They were 12" to 14" long. The wind had started dieing down and the water was clear. There was not much weed at this area. We had to leave them with the bite on and picking up. I was able to use my 10' long rod with out much problems. All were cought on dead shrimp of fish bites.

And now a question for all you PINS fisherman. At What length do you call a Whiting A bull whiting?

I say any whiting over 12" is a bull. I think Carl B. has the record as far as I have seen with one in the 20" range.

12" is good but we on the CCCF and Team Big Dog consider a Whiting a "Bull" at the very least to be 16". We've caught them bigger in our "Bull Whiting" tourneys.

Even though it would be nice to land a 35-40 incher Razz ,in the real world of PINS, I think 14"-16" plus...

I wish to thank you for your opion. I have did not call any of mine Bull size because I agree that they need to be over 15" to qualify.

Thanks again
