| Can't say enough good things about Jon Reynolds of Marine Masters. Not only does he do a good job, in most cases, he will come to your house and do the work on the motor. He has sure helped me out a couple of times. Number is (361) 728-1745 |

Thanks everyone.
I'm afraid that this time I might have to take it to the professionals. She just doesn't have any power when you throttle up in gear - idle will go up to 5000 rpm(normal), but when the prop is engaged only goes to 2300. Checked the lower unit and all seems to be normal. Buddy of mine suggested the carbs might be dirty, but if they are - than should it rev up normal while in idle? I woundn't think so. The next thing I've come up with is that the thermostat went bad and I might have over heated the block - maybe scorched rings. |

| I've stopped by and spoken with the guys at The Boat Stop a few times. They're very friendly and have given me good advice. They're at the top of my list of people I'll pay to work on mine. |

Bluffer:
Give Jon Reynolds at Marine Masters a call to find out hourly rates. It's been several months since he came to the house and freed up my steering, and I thought he was reasonable. |
