anyone happen to have the pics, for some reason, i can't see find them, the link Rabbit provided says "server lost"
The reason i'm asking, we were at the Jetty this weekend and there was a Ford and Jeep tearing up a bunch of sand, just was curious to see if it was the same group??? |

Now they've destroyed all the evidence. Did anyone save those pics? _________________ Chad Landry

There were SEVERAL trucks down by the jetties this past weekend. At least 15-20, and a certain few of them were acting stupid.
One was a jeep, tan/yellowinsh color, 33 or 35" Pro-Comp Mud Terrain tires, the other one was a Black 04-05 Ford FX4, 2door, stock.
And, btw, there is plenty of wetsand back behind the dunes. Some of the backside is huge tidal flats...you can see them if you stand up on the dunes in certain areas. |

you nailed it with those 2 vehicles. the jeep almost got stuck going up that road, they rolled back to the water a few times and got a running start. That Ford was running the entire stretch several times, and when they started digging in the sand, they would gas it, and guess where all that sand would go??? yup, right into our camp.
On the way back, when we left, the tide was up so we were all driving the high road, then out of nowhere, that Ford blew by us, rear end up in the air, not stopping or slowing down for nothing...guess when the it's under warranty or mommy and daddy pay for it, you just don't care!
Were you camped in the middle of that jetty town?? |

Yep, it looks like those guys took down the evidence. All the links with PICS have vacated, and links don't work anymore. I hope someone wrote down the plate numbers on those vehicles and that they get nailed.
The Ford in those PICS is still on their homepage though. _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Is that little road there illegal to drive on and get behind the dunes?? i'm talking about the road that the Jeep and Black Ford used to get behind those dunes...
If so, i guess the Turtle people can take their 4-wheelers back there, but nobody else? Some dude on his 4-wheeler and Park uniform tried to go up, almost got stuck, rolled back and got a running start then made it that hill and behind the dunes. Can back about 30mins later... |

what gets me is that not only were those guys up and down the dunes, so was the turtle patrol, running up and around on the 4-wheeler. It is my understanding that nobody can drive the dunes...correct me if i'm wrong though..
Also, on the way out to the jetty on Friday night/saturday morning, i think somewhere in the 30's, there were a bunch of 4-wheeler tracks making figure 8's and do-nuts and such...what the h**, i thought they were suppose to be leading by example... |

Doubt very seriously if those tracks were from the Turtle patrol. Come on, think about it a minute. None of them old volunteers would do that. sounds F.O.S. to me. _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!

I was at PINS this weekend and saw what obsessed seen. There was tracks from an atv for miles and alot of it was "fish tales". not in the dunes but on the low road. The turtle patrol guy I seen saturday was a younger man. late 20's or 30's. I saw him drive up into the dunes about 200yds from the jetties. There is a make shift road there that I've seen several vehicles make thier way up it.
Dunes are dunes correct? the only cut that we can legally take is the "Y"? What are the two roads by the jetties? Are they legal? One road is at the jetties, the other is a couple hundred yards down the beach. |

thanks for backing me up on that issue.
Bluffer:
I know what we saw, not only did i see it, my crew saw it as well, FOS, if you are refering to "full of ***" then your wrong, we had 3 trucks going down to the jetty that weekend. I'm not one just to start BS for the hell of it.
If you don't believe me, then you can ask the rest of my crew. As far as the volunteers being "old"...i guess you haven't seen them lately. Out of the entire weekend, we were greeted by the volunteers 4 times, they were all young, 2 male, 2 females.
We would have stopped to take pics, but it was already 4:00am, we just wanted to get to the jetty and set up camp, we had been on the road since 8pm in San Antonio.
Don't mean to ruffle any feathers Bluffer, just stating my opinion, no hard feelings...
