Headed out on Friday after work and camped out at the 5 , that is as far I was willing to take the family minivan. Didn't fish Friday night but woke up early on Saturday with the entire family. Hooked up early with a Spainsh Mac. Then with a Speck. Really didn't have much luck later only with some small whiting and a hardhead. However, I did see some guys next to us catch a small sheepshead and slot red. We were going to stay the night Saturday but we decided to head out. Hit the pavement around 8pm and watched the lighting show on the way out. Then out of nowhere the wind kicked in and we heard large thud hit the top of the van. My wife thought I hit something and within a blink of an eye the road turned white with large hail (about the size of a baseballs) and I just had to stay put. I never have seen hail like that. It came in straight at us and wasn't falling but more like being shot out of cannon. I pulled over to the side of the road to wait it out but after 15 minutes of continuous beating and a cracked windshield I decided to pull ahead and get out of there. When we got back home we could see all the damage, the mvan looks like Swiss cheese.
Did anyone else go through this? |

I hope those guys camping down the beach last night had spray on kryptonite for their tentcots. _________________ - Oz

Bender,
Sorry to hear about your car. I found it interesting you caught a Spanish, that's a sure sign Spring is here! |

I just about lost the cover on the Co. truck just east of SA on I-10. Popped up and busted a hing. I am glad I saw it and able to stop before it was completely torn off. All i could see was it hitting another car.
It did sound as if every one had a good weekend other than the light showers.
