Put the hook right under the horn on the top of its head. The hook won't come out very easliy and the shrimp won't die as long as you don't dig it into its head.[/img]

Do those live shrimp hooks work? They sure do keep that shrimp nice and fresh, but I've never caught anything with them. I don't think it was the hook's fault.

You can also hook them through the tail at the last joint before the actual tail section. I have always fished them this way and they tend to swim more freely.

I went to Wal-Mart looking for the live shrimp holder hook. Didn't know what I was looking for and neither did the salesperson. I searched through the hook section, but like I said, didn't exactly know what to look for or what kind of packaging. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Roys, they have what you want & know what your talking about. Walmart is ok if you need to get a air-refresher or a cheap combo. _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!

Thanks everybody. Went to Roy's last night and no problem finding a package. Going to try them at Baffin this Saturday. Sure fine people work at Roy's. They are a "treasure" for this fishing community.

Hook Worked well if the shrimp were the right size. I had trouble with some smaller shrimp, but larger ones worked good. Will continue to try using it. Wished they weren't so expensive.
