Havent been on here in awhile, but was wondering if there was any input on this boat. I am curious about this boat, but none seem to exist, Dave says he never hardly makes them anymore. I dont need the giant 24, want to stay at 20-21ft. I really like the 21' explorer also. Any info on either of these boats would be most appreciated.

I have a 20 footer. It's dry running even in rough conditions and will run
in shallow water. Good fishing platform for 3. It is heavy (1900 lbs) which
accounts for some of its stability; however, that does slow it down. Its not
the fastest boat running down the ICW.

I have one also and have been happy with it. As mentioned before it isn't the fastest boat around but it is very dry and smooth running. Dave told me he dosn't make many 20's because the 24' isn't that much more expensive. His boats are built like tanks... I don't see how anybody could wear one out. I would have gotten the 24" but it wouldn't fit in my boat lift. I have a 140 Suzuki fourstroke on it and it tops out arond 35 mph.
I probably could get more speed if I went with a higher pitched prop but I like the hole shot with the lower pitch. Also I don't usually venture more than a few miles from the house. I've taken it offshore a few times and it performed great.
Overall it's a good choice for the shallow bays and occasional offshore use.

I had one once, but I sold it because I didn't use it enough to justify having it. Sometimes I wish I had never gotten rid of it. The guy I sold it to said he would sell it back to me if I wanted it. It was a 92' model and he wants $5500 for it. It has a 150 Evinrude. Email me and I will get the contact ifno if you are interested...Adios

Thanks for the input, really appreciate it!!! I used to have an explorer a long time ago, I liked how hi up it rode over the waves, but remember alot of water around the bailers, alot. I like how the pescador is no wood, I really dont fish the skinny all that much anymore, find it hard to get down there anymore(should be arrested!), the afternoons crossing aransas, san antonio, whew! gut shuffle!. I have always liked the big nose boats, just cant remember how stable they were at rest. Once again, thanks for the advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
