I'm a newbie to the forum. I'm wondering which one I sould get... a 115L or 114hlw. I yak my bait outs. I now have a 555gs and 8500ss (both spooled with 30lb. line) but I want something bigger now for my bigger baits and I've narrowed down to these. I want to spool either one with 40 lb. line. How much line will go on the 114hlw? I know about 800 or so yards will go on the 115L right but the 114 has a faster gear? I really need some input on this a.s.a.p. Which one would you get and why? i second that .... 114hlw... i have one and love it... its lighter and not as bulky as the 115 .... not to mention faster..... id go with 50ln big game though and not 40..... if u spool it up right u can fit 700 yards of 50 on there..... and have room for a top shot of 80.
