LMAO Joe!!! The thought did cross my mind j/k.
We just got back from playing around in the yak close to BHP. The water was freezing but that didn't stop us. We finally had to call it quits after the leash broke on one of my wipe outs. I'm not that expereinced and didn't feel comfortable paddling with out it.
Here is one of my wipe outs....

You really have to keep the power on with this boat. It's big and takes some real work to get through the surf. Remember to try and go faster than the water. This is especially true coming in. If the wave over takes you, you'll get turned around and over you go. I have a Malibu II and it's work to handle from the center seat. _________________ Magic |

I have a Malibu II XL too that my wife and I both enjoy. Know that you will too. When by yourself, paddle from the middle seat. Much easier.
Know what my wife wanted for Christmas? . . . . . . Waders! What a woman!! |

Yall should try to paddle my Wildy RIDE in the surf. It's 13'6" with a pontoon shaped hull. It is great for the bays, gulf, and slow rivers. But it sucks in the surf and fast rivers. In fact, the only time I have ever rolled it is in the surf. And I came close one other time on the San Marcos River.
The next time I go out in the surf, I am taking my wife's Tarpon 120 instead of my Ride. _________________ GoinCoastal aka Cap'nSherbet |
