Not sure if the ones I use are the same ones as Johnny French but I use a 2/0 circle sea eagle claw circle hook and they work great and maintain a nice point after repeated exposure to the saltwater. The fish hook themselves and you just have to reel them in. _________________

I have found that the best hook for me is the Mustad C71S SS . I use the #1 for my Pompano rigs. I have also caught one 42" red on this little hook and a one oversized big ugly drum.
C71S SS
CIRCLE, FORGED, CHEMICALLY SHARPENED SIGNATURE POINT, NOR-TEMPERED, MICRO BARB,
2 EXTRA STRONG,
1 EXTRA LONG,
STRAIGHT EYE, STAINLESS STEEL
It's a great hook and the only circle hook I have seen with an extra long shank. Great when using peeled shrimp with FishBite. _________________ Ahh sand between my toes! |
