The way I was taught to throw a cast net is to loop the line in your right hand then grab it by the horn with the right hand (if you're a southpaw - use your left ), hanging the loops over your wrist.
After this, you reach down the net with your left and grap the weight line on the far left side and pul it up to your hand. Repeat 3 more times (for a 6') and then on the last grab, hold the weight line in your left hand. Spread your left hand out from your right. The turn your left shoulder to line up just like golfing to your target, and swing your left arm first then follow with the right as you pivot your body. Release as both hand come out in front of you, and you should get a perfect circle everytime. _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Where ya been Buda??? I've been down several times and haven't seen you since Flak popped a rope in yo truck???
The easiest way to toss a net is the Calusa.com way, no skill whatsoever(right up my alley). I can toss my 7'er in chest deep water. It doesn't go far, but it works. In shallow water I can toss it way out there............Kyle _________________ I fish, therefore, I am................Happy! |

Now, ya see, that's what happens when a fisherman lives to close to the water. They only drive as far as they have too. I live in Austin, so if I only went to the 15mm and back, I'd feel as if I didn't get the whole deal's worth of fishing and driving You guys just wait, I'm getting sick of living so far away. One of these days I just might be your neighbor...got a cup o sugar buddy? See ya soon Buda!...............Kyle
Ps, I've been eating fish for 9 days, and I see another 9 in the near future...Like, starting tomorrow _________________ I fish, therefore, I am................Happy! |
