The surf is looking really calm on both pier cameras (Caldwell & Bob Hall) but does anyone know the color yet? The pictures are making it look fairly clean on my computer but it seems too soon to look as good as it does. I'll gladly pass on opening weekend for deer to come catch some surf monsters!

Such a nice day I had to get out. Just went south of BHP and was catching whiting on fishbites on the surf rod & 2 dink trout on plastics in close with the curado rig.
Later on was using cut whiting & lost something really big (never saw it)
Water was nice & green but tide was WAY out.
Nows the time to hit the beach after these fronts. Perfect for yaking out there to...GO FOR IT!!!

Scroll down to the pic.. I hope it stays that way this weekend but it may not with 10-15mph winds predicted. I'll be there anyway.
