can anyone tell me where to purchase real crabs for bait please? thanks in advance

I'll tell you this much. Many people do use crab successfully in the catch of black drum; however, I find myself just as successful using big dead shrimp or crab flavored Fishbites in the larger, cold water variety. Check out the sponsors link to buy online, or go by Roy's Bait and Tackle to get them.

I normally wait for the head off white or brown shrimp to go on sale at HEB and stock up then when its $4/lb for head off shrimp. When you buy bait shrimp it is normally $3 a pound, but has the head on, and is often in bad shape and small. The HEB shrimp fits a 5-0 hook perfectly.
