Anyone in the Corpus area want to hit Indian Point Pier this evening to see if the drum have shown up? I am fixing to head out see if I can't find some bait. I will then come back home to get my equipment if I do and I will check here to see if anyone is interested. _________________ FISH ON!!,

Nevermind, the GF reminded me we have a basketball game to go to. Perhaps next week I will venture out to see if the drum are out there. _________________ FISH ON!!,

I was thinking this is Big Ugly type weather and I bet the water is close enough to match the normal February-March hot times.
I was hoping to see you taking multiple pics of that same ugly drum |

| My brother and I are debating whether to go to Indian Point pier or Bob hall tonight. Do you think Indian Point is on with drum or will it be hit and miss? Or should we just not waste our time and head to Bob Hall? Thanks for your help. By the way, what kind of bait were you hunting for? |

Has anyone had luck at the marker 37 pier facing the ICW? Should be good this time of year at night. Looks lit up well. _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!

My brother-n-law fished it last weekend at night. The schoolie specks pciekd up around midnight and didn't let up until 4 am he said. Biggest went 14". No keepers to be found. He said there weren't as many as we caught just about 4 weeks ago before my move to SA. We also managed to catch a few keepers and a couple 20" plus hogs, but not this go around.
Biggest trout came on live small whiting castnetted under the lights 2 weeks ago. He only works lures, so maybe some whiting is what the biiger specks are hungry for. _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Sorry, I had already left for the Islanders's basketball game when you posted. The bait I was looking for was mantis shrimp (sealice) and crabs to use for the big drum.
I would have thought odds would have been better at Indian Point Pier that BHP for this time of the year. If I didn't go to the game with my girl, I would have been at IPP.
I told her as we walked up to the game that I almost went fishing tonight. She asked why I didn't. I told because I already made plans with you. Made her feel good. As we walked down the sea wall to the ABC, I knew the drums were out there. The conditions are right and with the warm winter, they should already be in. _________________ FISH ON!!,

Now you're talking.. I'd much rather be with my girlfriend on a cool winter's night than looking at those big old drum If you really have a good one she'll go with you next time.
