Am I getting close to the world record, or at least a Texas one? ....My biggest is 67.5 lbs......This one, of course, is not as big! _________________ "I just got a new fly-fishing rod and reel for my wife. It was the best trade I've ever made!" |

Thatr is a really nice fish! How long was it? Don't know how tall you are, so can't judge from that either. That is one huge BU though!!! _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

As I grow older (I'm 32 and almost 33)....I can see my own earthly presence in a fallible manner! ....I grew up on Lake Amon G. Carter and broke three of the lake records over 14 years of fishing it.....did I ever brag about it? No! ... I never had to "grand-stand" and call up the newspapers for my records..... I never wanted that..... For some weird reason a seasoned fisherman would understand, " we are part of nature, and in tune with it" .....Yes, It's a fishing state of mind equivalent of 20 beers....If ya haven't ever experienced it fishing --- or hunting --- then ya don't understand it!
I nearly broke the White Crappie record at 3.9 lbs!
But why, oh why, am I so wanting E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E to know that I'm gona capture this Black Drum record???? ...In retrospect, I ......well....don't know! _________________ "I just got a new fly-fishing rod and reel for my wife. It was the best trade I've ever made!" |
