I'd be skeptikal of these. They seem really small and too flimsy at their weight to be able to really work well. They might, but I think scrap pieces of carpet the same size would work just as well (if they work).
It seems to me they would be pushed under the trie and back out on the other side. If the tires are turning to fast, they may become a projectile on the exit side of the tire, becoming quiet dangerous.
It does give me an idea that much longer strips of very thick scrap carpet may work well with a slow and steady throttle. Two pieces long enough to fit between the front and back tires and two longer ones to go infront of or behind the vehicle. Then you could just roll them up for easy stowing. _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

You might want to take a look at these aluminum sand ladders. I've seen them used on several outdoor shows and they seem easy to use. They tied about a 10' length of rope to them and attached to the bumber so that they didn't have to walk back to them for retrieval.

That looks like the same material that the engineers used in the military to make runways for aircraft during the war. _________________ Fishing and Kayaking its a rough life but somebody has to do it.
