Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen this argument posted in rebuttal to the beach closures.
Isn't new development on the island restricted because of Hurricane/Storm insurance? Do they plan on having CC tax dollars subsidize the cost?
Who is going to pay to rebuild if a storm surge levels the new condo's?

| That particular area is covered and is not in a CBRA zone. They have to get federal flood insurance and windstorm coverage through the state. The federal and state programs cover the insurance not the city. |

Then why am I paying so much to my insurance co. every month?
Should just be govt reliant & pray theyll take care of me!
