My wife and I decided to exchange presents early this year on account of all the relatives coming into town -- she is awesome!!!!! Bought me a new magged-out Diawa 40SHV, spooled with Breakaway 25lb, Breakaway pully rigs, sputniks, both spinning and fast links, lead lifts, Nickaway's Distance Casting Video (which is awesome), a new fillet knife and protective glove (my scarred hands tell the story of my lack of coordination), 3 spools of Ande big game (ranging from 12 to 30lb test), various topwater plugs and a 50 dollar gift card to Academy (after saying " I am sure we will be spending more from Breakaway, figured you could get yourself some warm weather clothes from Academy").
Anyways, wanted to brag on my best bud/favorite fishing partner in the world! I cannot wait to try out that reel and hope everyone else here is as blessed this Christmas as I have been _________________ "I don't wanna live on that kind of island, no I don't wanna swim in a roped off sea. Woo Hoo! I have the same reel. It does need the mags too as it is fast. I have oversized brake blocks in it and it still is touchy but casts well.
Enjoy!

Congrats on getting all of gear. I's nice to have a wife that fishes, and shares in all the fun. You are a very lucky guy.
Tyler, I have the Diawa 30 SHV spooled with Power Pro 65, and just started fishing the surf. Do I need the mags also?
