well i start out trying to wade boat hole but somebody bought the lot that i use to walk out there and put up a big fence with no tresspassing signs. so i'm kind of bummed. so i decide to head out to fish pass.

i pick up some shrimp and head out there. sargasm everywhere and the water is brown out about 30 yards past the jetti with a stiff breeze blowing in and some nice swells that soaked me. the only thing that kept me there more than 12 seconds was about 10 seagulls working the end of the north jetti but since the water was the color of a horrible bowel movement gone wrong i couldnt see what it was and i dared not throw my cast net into that poop.

so then i say what the heck i'll go bayside. i pack up after about 10 minutes and back towards corpus about a mile and turn right after that church. i wade out there. the water is still doodoo brown. i threw shrimp on popping corks, clear corks, freelined them, every color of assassin you can imagine, not a strike, not one shrimp even lost an eye or leg or one assassin it's tail. never seen anything like it.

i was defeated today.

I saw that spot at the boat hole had been "taken" as private. Too bad.. I used to slide my Yak in there.. I am disheartened by the conditions , not just lately but as a trend for myself when I have the free time to fish.

I was at the B&R flats Tuesday and located a bunch of uncooperative reds... Oh Well it's excercise but the days of discovery are long gone for me Sad
