Yup they were catching some. Caught a undersized red myself. Bought some shrimp there. That was a mistake. Took two shrimp to fill a number one circle hook. And they were 4.50 a pound. I will get my shrimp at HEB they are nice and large no heads and only 3 something a pound. _________________ Fishing and Kayaking its a rough life but somebody has to do it.

I went out today. It looks like all the same folks. I saw one guy put what I swear was an under sized red in his cooler after messing around with a tape measure way longer than it takes to measure a fish. I hope the wardens are going to put the peir on a short leash for a while. _________________ Broken or not fix it!

| You are still able to throw castnets but there is no charge to bring them on the peir. I have recived my licenses to sell live bait just in prosess of building a tralier, tanks and locks. But some questions for you guys? was it more of a hassle to come in to the tackle shop to pay for pier tickets? Did any one see anything that i need to stock on or maybe order? and suggestions on live bait........ what would yall wont to buy? |

That tackle shop is so big that 3 people seems to be a crowd Are you planning on closing again to do the railings? I heard people talking about that, so I was wondering.
You should have a two rod limit. I do not think it is right for 7 people to put out 30 rods and block the end of the pier so nobody else can use it.
Oh yah almost forgot your surf cam is still not working.
Bet that little old ladie is glad you changed the phone number on your web site. _________________ Fishing and Kayaking its a rough life but somebody has to do it.

2 rod limit .... that wouldnt be fare to the guys who are fishing hard. I know when i head out to BHP or HCP i will run 2 long rods for shark baits.... and 1 slideline rig. Thats 4 rod. Dont forget you need a rod to catch bait. Thats 5 rods. So make it a 5 rod limit. I gotta agree though it really gets to me something when there is 2 guys and they are running the whole side section of the pier. But oh well. Thats why we have PINS. |

All I can say is if you cant catch fish with 2 rods your not much of a fisherman. |

Agree with the 2-rod limit, Hate them "pier hogs" one of the main reasons I NEVER fish BHP. _________________ Fish hard, fish the Bluff. Surrounded by water!
